What is Flyboard and How Does it Work?
Flyboarding is probably the most extreme and unique water sport world wide.
The Flyboard was created during 2011 by Franky Zapata in France. The concept is pretty simple, it consist of a board, a hose, and a Jet ski. The user is strapped onto the board by the feet, and is connected to the Jet ski by a 40ft hose. A very powerful stream of water is propelled out from the Jet ski, traveling through the hose and back out from the board, giving it a strong propulsion able to shoot the Flyboard out of the water and stay up in the air as long as there is a jet of water from the Jet ski.
Their will be an instructor on the Jet ski controlling the throttle, as he/her progressively increases the throttle, the rider on the Flyboard will rise up and vice versa.
Although height up to 35ft can be reached, beginners will start out at much lower until they get the basics down and feel comfortable enough to try going higher.
As with every sports, there are some people who are naturally good at it, and others who struggle a bit more with it. That being said, 90% of first timers are able to get out of the water and up flying within the first 5 min of their session! There are unlimited combinations of tricks that can be done on the Flyboard like spins, dives, flips and so on, just got to be creative! So if you haven' t had a chance to try it out for yourself yet, we highly recommend you to come out here and finally be able to fly like Iron Man!
No Prior Experience? Not a Problem!
